Created by local brothers, Eric and Keith Kolver, Secret Spot Hot Tubs is a magical new hot tub experience located on the edge of the mighty Whakarewarewa Forest. The hot tubs and a unique cafe and bar facility are set within a native New Zealand oasis, just south of Rotorua. Spend a blissful 45 minutes in one of our 12 hand-crafted cedar hot tubs. These hot tubs seat up to 6 people and overlook the beautiful Puarenga Stream. Each hot tub is filled with pure water from our forest spring, which is then heated to a relaxing 39.7 degrees. You’ll receive tub-side bar service at the push of a button, and can enjoy a range of beverages, from our Good George beer or cider and Mills Reef wine to a Manuka Brothers coffee or even a hot cuppa from Webster's Tea. We are also home to the popular Shinny Dips, mini foot hot tubs located beside our café that are complementary with any drinks purchase. Well-behaved dogs and kids welcome too.

• Our hot-tubbing hours are from 9am to 10pm every day (we may be open longer for major night events held in the Waipa Valley). Last soak session starts at 9pm each night. Book your 45-minute soak on the hour or on every quarter hour. • Book up to 6 friends or family per tub, with larger groups needing to book multiple tubs and then decide how many people will share each pool. • Bring your own swim wear and towels, or rent them from reception. • Children welcome, but must be 5 years or older and accompanied by an adult to use hot tubs. • Bookings can be rescheduled up to 4 hours before your reservation, but cancellation requires 12 hours’ notice. • Alcohol may not be bought onto the premises, and Secret Spot is a non-smoking/vaping facility. • If there’s something special you want organised like catering or a function, let us know and we will make it happen.

• No more than 6 people per tub will be booked by us.
• Bookings can be rescheduled up to 4 hours before your reservation but cancellation requires 12 hours’ notice.
• Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• Only one promotional discount per purchase.
• Any health conditions which may be affected by heat must be disclosed to Secret Spot staff before entering the hot tubs.
• Secret Spot retains the right to remove any disruptive patrons.
• Patrons are required to exit the hot tubs after 45 minutes (full-time will be automatically signalled).
• Only one group per hot tub (we will not mix up unrelated groups).
• Patrons must stay on the boardwalks at all times.
• Alcohol, food and drink may not be bought onto the premises.
• Secret Spot is a non-smoking facility.
• Secret Spot is a licensed premise and operates according to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
